Initiative refers to the order in which troops (and bandits) attack during a Battle.
| Initiative | Used By | Description |
|---|---|---|
| First Strike | Attacks in the first round of fighting, before other normal troops. If enough troops have the First Strike initiative, then they can win a battle without losing a single troop. | |
| Normal | Attacks in the second round of fighting, after First Strike. The vast majority of troops use this initiative. | |
| Last Strike | Attacks in the third round of fighting, after all normal troops have finished. This makes the troops vulnerable to being wiped out before they have a chance to attack, but they tend to do huge damage, so are very effective when combined with support troops. |
