Players are necessary for any game, but The Settlers Online is a multi-player online game, which means that when playing the game, you will interact with other people from around the world.
Some of the adventures in the game require that you work together with other players in order to accomplish the goals, and receive the maximum rewards. All adventures, therefore, have a 'number of players' statistic, which indicates how many people are able to play the adventure together.
The (current) maximum number of players for any adventure is 4.
Upon completion of the adventure, rewards are shared thus:
- XP is shared between the players, based on how many enemy troops were killed.
- All players receive the standard loot for the adventure, which can vary between participants.
