The adventure comes in 3 flavours of diffculty that depend on your players level at the time you start the quest. Essentially the map is made so that any player will find it pretty straightforward and easy with the troops available to you.
None of the flavours are particularly hard and can be done with the basic troops you have access to and without blocking or injury to any General.
In all versions you take on the same map but with varying amounts of enemies in each base.
There are 2 camps that can be Blocked but since they are extremely easy and losses are decidedly minimal it's hardly worth the hassle. If you do want to try the blocks the timing is pretty simple for the first block the second one is kinda fun where you time your block to allow your general to cross a smallest corner of the blocked camps Area of Effect.
Medium Version
Sector

Attack from your starting position.
Sector1
40 Thugs, 40 Fanatics
25R, 1S, 174C
Move a base or two to the north of the cleared sector. If you make sure they are as far north as possible they will avoid hitting the camp we wish to skip.
Sector2
40 Recruits, 40 Shadowsneakers *
30 Scavanger, 1 Skunk, 30 Thrall
24R, 176S
12R, 25S, 40C, 123LB
Move a general directly inline with the entry to the last sector and another immediatly to the right of it. These placings are the ideal if you try the blocking movement.
If you place your general correctly, you can skip the 2nd camp in sector 2 and go directly to the sector 3 camps (your general should be in the most north western spot in sector 1).
